BLATANT SELF-PROMOTION: UPDATED AUTHOR WEBSITE

I am technically challenged but, thanks to my son, my author website has been updated.

With Christmas coming up, kids who love history, and also love to read (and/or be read to) might be interested in my time travel series.

Visit this site to learn more about me and my books.

Adults have been known to like them too. See review excerpts below.

The cast of characters fit the situations and behave in believable ways. I’d recommend for any reader from middle school to adult.

  • Mahrie Gibb

Every book in this series is wonderful, and (like the Harry Potter novels) every reader from tween to adult will love them.

  • Siri Jeffrey

This is a great series and you should get it for your own kids, their cousins, and the kid down the block who needs something good to read. It’s very worthwhile even for us grown-ups who like rousing tales extending across centuries of history. You know, those history bits we all learned then forgot in school.

Read the entire series. I did and am both pleased and saddened to make this my final review on a wonderful set of stories.

  • Marva Dasef

Honestly, I don’t know how Ms. Duke does it. Her books are all astoundingly filled with small, telling, writerly details that would give any writer pause. Yet, she never fails to find the humanity, courage, and humor in her young cast of characters as well. I’ve been a fan of Ms. Duke’s Time Rose series for some time.

  • Stuart West

I congratulate Ms. Duke on her skillful use of time travel to reveal daily life in times past and create well-rounded characters.

  • Rosemary Morris

A must read for lovers of adventure and history.

  • Diane Scott Lewis

The author is obviously well-versed in history, and her ability to depict momentous historical events not only engages the young reader, but adults as well (even those like myself who have never been history buffs).
