Question: Niagara Falls has been called the Honeymoon Capital of the World since 1804. Where are these falls located?
Answer: On the border between the U.S. state of New York and the Canadian province of Ontario. Niagara Falls became known as the Honeymoon Capital of the World after U.S. Vice President Aaron Burr’s daughter Theodosia went there for her honeymoon and other couples followed suite, thus starting a trend. Today, the Falls attract over 50,000 honeymooners a year. I visited Niagara Falls and the picturesque town of Niagara-On-The-Lake just last month, fortunately on not too cold a day, so the boat trip out by the falls wasn’t too uncomfortable.

* NOTE: Since Niagara Falls is so closely associated with romance, I’m posting this on my brother and sister-in-law’s twenty-fifth wedding anniversary.
