Sorry not to post for so long, but I’ve been away researching Book 5 of my Time Rose series (In sunny Italy – the sacrifices one has to make for one’s art. Sigh.) While away, it was my intention to keep posting at intervals, but since my son and I didn’t always have Internet access, that didn’t work out too well. The photo above was taken overlooking the ruins of Herculaneum. Book 5 is going to be set there because almost everyone who writes about the Vesuvius eruption of 79 AD goes to Pompeii and I like to be different. We had an excellent guide, Mimma Macri, who works for Raphael Tours & Events. I booked our private tour through Herculaneum Tours and Mimma was very helpful and informative. She went above and beyond to accommodate us and answer all my ‘writer questions’, and I would highly recommend both her and her company to anyone wanting an in-depth tour of the place.
