If you’re going to be in or near Leicester, England this week, a royal funeral is finally going to be held at the cathedral for Richard III, the last Plantagenet king. It’s taken 530 years, but his remains were only found three years ago – in a car park. Numerous activities related to the late king will be going on all this week for those who didn’t receive an invitation to the actual service taking place on March 26th.

King Richard III is one of the historical characters in my middle grade time travel novel, The Disappearing Rose, available online from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo Books, and MuseItUp Publishing.
I thought he was going to be buried in York or is York where the museum will be? I did have a visit to York in my travel plans, but maybe we should go to Leicester instead.
